About Origins ChurchOrigins Church is a family of imperfect people trying to Love Jesus, Each Other, and Those Around Us. We Love Jesus through our weekly worship environments for adults and kids where we sing together, expressing gratitude and honor to God and study the bible to apply it to our lives. We Love Each Other through smaller group settings where community happens and people are cared for. We Love Those Around us by serving in our community and the world through feeding the hungry, providing fun activities for kids, and taking the message of Jesus across the globe to places like Lima, Peru. Origins got started with a small group of people in the living room of our Pastor, Scotty Neal, and launched in May of 2007. From the beginning we have been committed to creating a place where anyone can come and learn about Jesus and the bible without feeling judged or marginalized for who they are or where they've been in life. What about Kids?
OC Kids is a safe, age appropriate, and engaging environment where Kids learn and grow. We are committed to partnering with parents to help kids discover and embrace their relationship with Jesus Christ. Every month, a biblical value such as courage, perseverance, and forgiveness are presented to the kids in a fun and relevant way that sticks and parents are given tools to continue each lesson at home during the week. When you visit Origins come to the OC Kids check in table to check your child(ren) in and someone will take you to their appropriate environment. We perform background checks on all of our volunteers to ensure that your kids are kept safe. We work hard to ensure that their time at OC Kids is the highlight of your kid's week. What about Students? We provide environments where students can come together and develop connections with one another, as well as discuss Biblical principles that are relevant for their lives. On the first Sunday of every month our Student ministry host their own worship experience during the 10 am service at Origins. We also provide outings for our students to be able to hang-out and enjoy life. Sometimes there's nothing better than to be able to be around positive people, and put the cares of this world on the back burner for a few hours. And a few times throughout the year we pack it up and get out of town. We have retreats in the summer and winter that give our students the time to rid themselves of distractions, and grow in their journey to discover who they truly are, and the people that God desires them to be. For more information about the Student ministries at Origins Church contact our student pastor Adam Deckard at adam@originschurch.tv. What about Singles?Single adults make up a large percentage of our attendance at Origins so we consider those who are single as much a part of our family as anyone else, not just a sub-culture. Within our church there is a vibrant community of single people that is happening through community groups and serving together in and outside of Origins. |
